Great Location to Explore Region

Greg A. Hartford, photographer, author, publisherMost people pass right through Trenton on a fast track to get to Mount Desert Island without getting to know what is here. Unless, of course, a great hunger for the Maine Lobster overtakes them and they stop at a location just before crossing over to the island to devour this delicious seafood. But stop and consider a few points about this location as a home base during your stay. For one, because it is off island, the rates are likely better. Two? It is a good location to get to the northern side of MDI as well as further south to the “backside.” For another? If you are ready to think about exploring, not only Bar Harbor and the rest of MDI, but get to know the Schoodic area, or think you may want to take short trip to Ellsworth, this is the right place for you!
