Wave Strikes the Spindle at Otter Cliff
Acadia National Park, Mount Desert Island, Maine

This large wave has just struck the Spindle in front of Otter Cliff in Acadia National Park. In the month of September of 1604, the famous French explorer, Samuel de Champlain's ship struck this and had to spend winter in Otter Cove for repairs.
