Jordan Island in Winter Harbor, Maine
The land behind the dock is privately owned 261.5 acre Jordan Island, located in Winter Harbor, Maine, as seen from Bunkers Cove on the western side of Gouldsboro Peninsula. The island is home to nesting eagles and is protected by a conservation easement. Jordan Island has an elevation of 161 feet (49 meters) which is the highest elevation of the group of islands in Frenchman Bay. The larger land mass in the background is part of Mount Desert Island.
