The land behind the dock is privately owned 261.5 acre Jordan Island, located in Winter Harbor, Maine, as seen from Bunkers Harbor on the western side of Gouldsboro Peninsula. The island is home to nesting eagles and is protected by a conservation easement. The larger land mass in the background is part of Mount Desert Island.
