The cliff, known as The Precipice, is on the east side of Champlain Mountain in Acadia National Park. The Precipice Hiking Trail leads to the 1,058 summit of Champlain Mountain. This is the most strenuous hiking trail (of the many hiking trails) in Acadia National Park and is only recommended for the most experienced hiker.
