This sunrise photo shows sailboats in Somes Sound as viewed from Manset in Southwest Harbor, Maine. Southwest Harbor is a famous yacht building community and desireable vacation destination on Mount Desert Island, home to Acadia National Park.

There are over 20 mountains on Mount Desert Island. The one in the distant center is 852 foot (260 m) high Norumbega Mountain. At 1,532 feet, the highest point on Mount Desert Island and along the North Atlantic seaboard is Cadillac Mountain (see Cadillac Mountain panoramic).
