Off the Beaten Track

Greg A. Hartford, photographer, author, publisherAlthough many of the Carriage Roads are close to the Park Loop Road and other main roadways, most will take you much farther into the forests, often intersecting with a variety of Hiking Trails. When walking on the roads, it is a good idea to have an idea about some of the hiking trails as well. If you are interested in photography and plan on taking some gear such as a tripod, you will be rewarded with many great settings and will likely stumble upon a variety of wildlife as well so be ready when it happens.
