Northeast Harbor, Somesville, Seal Harbor

Greg A. Hartford, photographer, author, publisherThis is a beautiful part of Mount Desert Island that has much to offer for visitors from Asticou Azalea Garden, Asticou Terraces, Thuya Garden, Upper & Lower Hadlock Ponds in Northeast Harbor to the Walking Bridge and Somes Pond in Somesville. Add to this the public beach in Seal Harbor and the hsitoric granite quarry in Hall Quarry where the granite to help build the Park came from, and you will have a full day. But lets not forget the ocean and yacht views in Somes Sound, Northeast Harbor, and Seal Harbor, and, of course, all of those shops.... Much to do. So little time!
