Islesford Dock on Little Cranberry Island, ME
This shows the Islesford Dock and Restaurant on Little Cranberry Island, Maine, just south of Mount Desert Island. This is the main arrival and departure spot on the island and a good place to gather. The road on the left leads up to a community of homes in a very casual and relaxed setting. When I was there, everyone was very friendly and I did not see one vehicle on the road. In this setting, the usual pressures of life seem to vanish.
