The Hancock County - Bar Harbor Airport is located on the east side of Route 3 in Trenton, Maine, about 7 miles southeast of Ellsworth, the main commercial center for the region. US Airways provides daily service to Boston. Acadia Air, Inc. offers chartered service and scenic flights. During season, Island Soaring Glider Rides offers a unique view of Mount Desert Island - home to the largest part of Acadia National Park and the well known Bar Harbor. There is an auto rental business and a taxi service available at the airport.

A short distance to the east of the airport and the adjacent Morris Yachts, is a seaplane ramp and boat launch facility maintained by the County of Hancock.
